The MERV 13 filters offer superior filtration down to 0.3 microns, capturing allergens like pollen, pet dander, dust mites, mold spores, bacteria and viruses. With an electrostatically charged synthetic filter media, they filter at 1500-1900 MPR and 10 FPR rating levels. The accompanying MERV 11 filters provide filtration down to 0.3 microns as well, capturing common allergens like pollen, pet hair, dust and smoke. Their electrostatic media filters at 1000-1200 MPR and 7 FPR rating levels. Using both filter types together allows you to customize filtration in your home. Place the higher-rated MERV 13 filters in high traffic areas like living spaces and save the MERV 11 filters for spaces like utility rooms or garages.
